Employing the geometry of Tibetan tangkas (painted wall hangings used in the practice of mindfulness and meditation), Moneyfly Mandalas pokes fun at the desire and determination with which our society concentrate on pursuing the almighty dollar and meaning of what that accumulation will yield. Arranged on simple fields of solid color, origami Buddhas folded from currency are arranged in the round, calmly seated and oddly at peace with capitalism.
